100-C09G200 technical data #

These figures come from Rockwell's own publication 100-TD013G-EN-P. If you landed here because you need to replace one, start with the table — there is one difference at the bottom that most cross-reference charts miss.

Rated current AC-39 A
Rated current AC-132 A
Main poles4
Contact configuration2 N.O. + 2 N.C. (the 200 suffix)
Coil voltage400 V, 50 Hz (the G code)
Rating at 400/415 V4 kW
Rating at 230 V3 kW
Mounting35 mm DIN rail or base
Lifecycle statusActive — not discontinued

Reading the catalogue number

  • 100-C — Bulletin 100-C IEC contactor family.
  • 09 — 9 A rated current in AC-3.
  • G — 400 V, 50 Hz coil. This is the character that differs between otherwise identical units: D would be 120 V at 60 Hz, KF would be 230 V.
  • 200 — two normally open and two normally closed poles.

What to check before ordering a replacement #

Amperage alone will mislead you. Most cross-reference tables compare only the 9 A, and that is the trap: the 100-C09G200 is a four-pole device with two N.C. contacts, while the vast majority of 9 A contactors on the market are three-pole. Order a three-pole part because "it is also 9 amps" and you will be a pole and two normally-closed contacts short.

  1. Contact configuration: 4 poles, 2 N.O. + 2 N.C. Check this first; it rules out most candidates.
  2. Coil voltage: 400 V at 50 Hz. A 220 V coil will not pull in on a 400 V panel, and the reverse holds too.
  3. Current for the actual duty: 9 A switching a motor (AC-3), up to 32 A on resistive load (AC-1). They are not the same number.

Equivalents you can source

For AC-3 duty at 9 A there are equivalents from every major brand: Schneider TeSys D (LC1D09), Siemens SIRIUS (3RT2015/3RT2016) and ABB AF09 all cover the same motor rating.

All three, however, are three-pole. To match the four poles with 2 N.O. + 2 N.C. you need the four-pole variant of each family, and you should confirm the contact block with the distributor: in four-pole devices manufacturers usually optimise for AC-1 resistive duty rather than AC-3. Ask for the manufacturer datasheet and verify the three points above before accepting any cross-reference.

If the contactor is accessible and the panel allows it, the honest alternative is to order the same part number again: it is still active, so there is no obsolescence forcing a brand change.

The Symptom: Searching for the Emergency "100-c09g200" Contactor #

We analyzed technical searches in 2026 and discovered that thousands of engineers across Latin America and the US are weekly searching terms like "100-c09g200 allen-bradley | us" or "100-c09g200 rockwell replacement". This is the perfect digital footprint of a major problem: reactive maintenance.

The Allen-Bradley 100-C09G200 contactor is a reliable workhorse from Rockwell Automation. It controls power flow to critical motors, pumps, and conveyors. But when a maintenance manager searches for it urgently online, it usually means the contactor has already burned out, the panel is smoking, and the production line is down, losing thousands of dollars per minute.

The Root of the Problem: Operating Blind

In traditional industry, the health status of an electromechanical component like the Rockwell 100-c09g200 is a "black box." No one knows how much degradation its internal contact platings have suffered from electrical arcing until the failure is catastrophic and irreversible. Replacing it with an identical one just resets the clock; it doesn't fix your operational blindness.

The 2026 Solution: Edge IoT Monitoring and Retrofitting #

Instead of simply buying Allen-Bradley spare parts "just in case," the smart manufacturing industry has adopted an electrical panel digitization strategy. You don't need to replace your entire Rockwell matrix with ultra-modern systems; you need to apply Smart Retrofitting with iGromi.

Secure your critical processes today. Discover how we implement Energy Efficiency Monitoring and Artificial Intelligence in your Rockwell, Siemens, or Schneider PLCs in less than 48 hours with the iGromi Plug & Play ecosystem.
