The Fundamental Difference
- OPC UA (Client/Server): It's like a phone call. The client calls the server. If the server is busy, no one answers. If you have 1,000 clients, the server explodes.
- MQTT (Pub/Sub): It's like Twitter (X). The machine "publishes" a status. Whoever wants to listen (database, SCADA, Dashboard), "subscribes". The machine doesn't know who is listening, it just transmits.
