Loss Breakdown

Availability100.0%

Loss due to failures and changeovers.

Performance44.4%

Loss due to reduced speed and micro-stops.

Quality97.5%

Loss due to scrap and rework.

Note: World Class OEE is ≥ 85%. If you are under 60%, you have huge improvement potential using automated measurement.

What does my OEE score actually mean?

Below 65%

Unacceptable. The plant has serious unplanned downtime or bottlenecks that are draining your margin.

65% to 85%

Industry average. Not bad, but there is room to gain through predictive maintenance or digitisation.

Above 85%

World class. Your line is a benchmark in efficiency, with minimal stoppages and virtually no defects.

Why calculating OEE by hand falls short

A calculator or a spreadsheet is a fine first step towards understanding your plant. It has one fatal flaw, though: human latency.

If an operator has to stop and write down when the machine failed, you are already losing production time. Worse: by the time you work out the OEE at the end of the shift, the money is gone. Those hours do not come back.

Automate your OEE with artificial intelligence

iGromi MES connects straight to your machine PLC (Siemens, Rockwell, Modbus) and computes OEE at 60 FPS with nobody typing anything.
