Digital twin

Industrial digital twin: your plant, with real data.

A digital twin is not just a dashboard. It is the plant (lines, machines and sensors) fed with real telemetry from each asset, so you can see what is happening, where and with which data.

Why

Flat tables do not tell you where the problem is.

A digital twin places each data point on the asset and the line where it happens, and relates it to everything else.

Layers of context

OEE, energy consumption and maintenance on the same asset. The link between a hot motor and a drop in line speed is right there in view.

PLC discovery

The iGromi gateway finds the PLCs on the network and their communication parameters, even with no documentation, and reads them read-only.

Questions with sources

Why did line 2 stop? The AI answers with the asset data, the order and the shift log, and says where each one comes from.

PLC, OPC UA and sensor data in a web interface. This is an interactive example.

Architecture

Where the twin runs.

iGromi cloud or private cloudReports, cross-plant comparison and the app.
iGromi Edge in the plantRead-only access, rules, inference and time series.
PLC (Modbus, OPC UA, S7)The equipment you already have, without changing its program.
IoT sensorsTemperature, vibration, energy and counting.

Sending every reading to the cloud just to draw it is expensive and depends on the connection. That is why the twin is built on the plant Edge and only aggregates go out.

  • Keeps measuring if the internet drops and syncs when it is back.
  • Less bandwidth: the summary goes up, not every reading.
  • The view opens in the browser, with nothing to install.
Free

iGromi cloud, separated per company

The shift app: chat, photo and voice records, and AI that answers with its source.

Premium

A private, isolated cloud for your company

Adds SAP, ERP and spreadsheets. The AI model runs inside that cloud.

Enterprise

Inside your plant, on Edge or on-premise

Adds PLCs, sensors and cameras. The Edge reads the PLC read-only and keeps measuring offline.

How it looks in the app

The twin talks back, too.

From the app, the supervisor asks about an asset and gets the data with its source. Start free with your people and add the assets later.

  • @igromi answers with the asset, the variable and the time.
  • Photo, voice and note stay tied to the asset.
  • The AI proposes; a person decides.

Free app in early access. Web available; Android and iOS coming soon.

Conveyor motor M-204 vibrating, bearing at 78 °C. I stopped it. Infrared thermometer reading 78 °C on a conveyor motor bearing
Carla · Plant manager · 10:05
@igromi has this happened before? How was it fixed?
iGromi
Yes, twice. On Jul 14 it was the bearing: Pedro replaced it and realigned the coupling in 40 min.

Luis, check the bearing like in July.

FAQ

Digital twin FAQ

What is an industrial digital twin?
It is a representation of the plant (lines, machines and sensors, with their location) fed by the real data from each asset. It lets you see in one place what is happening, where and with which data, instead of checking separate tables.
What is the difference between a digital twin and a dashboard?
A dashboard shows KPIs. A digital twin places them on the asset and the line where they happen, and relates them: a motor's temperature with line speed, a stop with the order that was running.
Do I need a detailed 3D model of the plant?
Not to get started. The value comes from tying each data point to its asset and location. The 3D view helps you understand the space, but the twin works just as well with a floor plan or an asset list.
Can it simulate scenarios?
That is a goal, not something we publish as fact. Today the twin brings together real data from assets, systems and people, and the AI answers with the source. Simulation requires a validated process model, built from measured data from that plant.
