MES Software and Automation Companies in Chile (2026)

The main industrial software vendors and integrators in Chile (Fracttal, Lenix, ScadaLabs) compared, and where the new edge AI approach fits.

MES Software and Automation Companies in Chile (2026)

The Industrial Automation Market in Chile #

Chilean industry, led by mining, pulp and paper and food manufacturing, is in the middle of its transition to Industry 4.0. When plant managers go looking for vendors, though, they run into two extremes: consulting firms that charge huge fees for projects that take months, or cloud software that stops working when the site's internet goes down.

To help you navigate this ecosystem, we've rounded up the main automation, SCADA and MES software companies in Chile, and how they compare with the new generation of local artificial intelligence (Edge AI).

1. The Cloud Maintenance Approach (Fracttal)

Specialty: CMMS and asset management.
Fracttal is widely known in Chile for its maintenance software. Its strength is the mobile interface. Its main weakness is a cloud-centric architecture: at mining operations or remote Chilean plants, when internet connectivity fluctuates, real-time responsiveness suffers. Its pricing model also tends to be based on user seats, which makes scaling more expensive.

2. Custom Integrators (Lenix, ScadaLabs, TEC Project)

Specialty: Control panels, wiring, custom SCADA development.
Companies like Lenix or ScadaLabs are excellent at the physical work of building electrical panels or programming a Siemens PLC from scratch. The problem shows up on the software side. Because they sell custom developments, they create heavy vendor lock-in. Every time you need a new report or a dashboard change, you have to pay them consulting hours. They lack plug-and-play software.

3. License Distributors (Pymatek, Evotec)

Specialty: Reselling foreign software licenses.
They sell licenses from global players such as Ignition SCADA or Wonderware. The end customer ends up paying in US dollars, calculated "per variable (tag)" or "per screen." It's a 1990s model that financially penalizes companies trying to scale IoT across the plant.

🚀 The Local-First Shift: iGromi OS

What if you had the advanced software of a Silicon Valley startup, but processing the data inside your own plant in Chile?

  • Unlike cloud-centric CMMS: iGromi CMMS and MES run locally through Edge Computing. If your internet provider goes down, your factory keeps producing and analyzing data.
  • Unlike custom integrators: iGromi OS doesn't need months of programming. You use a visual drag-and-drop environment to build your own dashboards without paying for consulting hours.
  • Unlike per-tag licensing: the cost isn't calculated per variable or per screen, so connecting more sensors and users doesn't trigger new license fees.

How to Choose the Right Vendor #

If your priority is simply building an electrical panel, a traditional integrator is the best option. But if your goal is to digitize the plant, eliminate paper, implement machine vision and keep full control of your data without depending on the internet or paying abusive licenses, you need an Edge AI platform.

iGromi SpA designs solutions on standard industrial hardware that install on top of your existing cameras and PLCs.
