Basic iGromi Bridge Installation

Estimated reading time: 4 min

What is the iGromi Bridge?

The Bridge is the gateway between the physical world of your machines (sensors, PLCs, relays) and the digital brain of iGromi OS.

Cabinet requirements

  • Space on a 35mm DIN rail (it takes 4 modules of width).
  • 24V DC power supply (1 Amp minimum).
  • Stable WiFi signal (2.4GHz) or an Ethernet cable (recommended).

Installation

  1. Mounting: Clip the device onto the DIN rail.
  2. Power: Wire the +V and 0V terminals to your 24V supply.
  3. Network (recommended): Plug an Ethernet cable into the LAN port. The device picks up an IP over DHCP automatically.
  4. WiFi (alternative): With no cable, the Bridge creates a network named iGromi_Setup_XXXX. Join it from your phone (password: igromi-admin), open 192.168.4.1 in your browser and enter your plant WiFi credentials.

Linking it to your account

Once the Bridge has internet (the "NET" LED blinks green):

  1. Open your iGromi web portal.
  2. Go to Settings > Hardware > Add Bridge.
  3. Enter the serial number (S/N) printed on the side of the unit.
  4. Name the device (e.g. Bridge_Filler_01).

The device automatically downloads its TLS security policies and starts operating.
