From reactive alarm to predictive alert
A traditional alarm fires once the limit has already been crossed (e.g. temperature above 90°C). A well-configured alert in iGromi OS warns you beforehand, based on trend or accumulated running hours — giving you real time to act.
Step 1: Simple threshold alert
- Go to Alerts > New Alert.
- Select the tag to monitor (e.g.
Motor_Temperature). - Set the condition (
greater than 80°C for 5 continuous minutes) — the time window avoids false alarms from momentary spikes.
Step 2: Usage-based alert
- Pick a counter tag (operating hours, produced cycles).
- Set a recurring threshold (e.g. every 500 hours) so the alert fires on each maintenance interval, not just once.
Step 3: Trend-based alert
- Select Deviation from baseline as the condition type.
- Define the tolerated deviation (e.g. vibration +15%).
- iGromi OS computes the baseline automatically from the history already collected — no need to enter it manually.
Step 4: Notification channels
- In Alerts > Channels, link WhatsApp Business, email or Telegram.
- Assign a channel per severity: informational alerts by email, critical alerts by WhatsApp with read receipts.
- Define escalation shifts: if the on-duty operator does not acknowledge within X minutes, the supervisor is notified automatically.
Architecture reminder: an alert always notifies and suggests — it never executes an action on the machine autonomously. The final decision is always made by a person.
